Effective Removal of Common Blemishes
Advanced Electrolysis is a specialist skin treatment that can be used to safely and efficiently reduce or completely remove various skin blemishes such as Milia, Spider Naevi, Skin Tags, Facial Thread Veins and Campbell De Morgan which are more commonly known as blood spots.
Please note: it is always recommended that you first visit your GP if you notice an unusual growth on your body. Your physician will be able to rule out whether there are any underlying health causes that need medical attention.
Thread veins
Thread veins are dilated red capillaries that can be seen through the skin.
They are not significant to our health but can look unsightly, although they are usually more common as we age there are other factors that can causes these veins to appear including, sun damage, exposure to harsh weather conditions, hormonal changes, and high blood pressure.
Milia
Milium (or Milia if there are multiple) are harmless dome shaped white bumps containing keratin. Long term use of steroid creams, burns, sun damage, ageing and some skin resurfacing procedures such as dermabrasion are all potential causes of Milia.
They are mostly found on dry skin, around the eye socket, nose, and chin and can be easily removed in just one session.

Skin tags
Skin tags are flesh coloured growths. They are usually small but can grow to the size of pea and sometimes larger, you will normally find them in areas of friction such as the underarm, neck, and groin.
They can be left untreated as they are harmless, but people will often request their removal as they can catch on jewellery and clothing.
Campbell de Morgan
Campbell de Morgans, otherwise known as Cherry Angioma or blood spots are superficial vascular blemishes. They can vary in size from the head of a pin to a five pence piece and in colour from bright red to dark red and sometimes purple.
More common in people over 30, particularly men they are mostly found on the face and torso but can appear anywhere on the body. They are completely harmless but are usually treated for cosmetic reasons and can be removed in 1-2 sessions.

Spider Naevi
Spider Naevi is a collection of small, dilated blood vessels that are clustered close to the surface of the skin. The cluster of vessels is ‘web-like’ with a central spot which is commonly caused by injury to the area, sun exposure and hormonal changes.
They can appear, red, blue, or purple in colour and don’t often cause for medical concern, they will usually require multiple treatments but will be significantly less visible right away!
